Terms of Service

1. General

K50Plus is an online marketplace that connects experienced service providers aged 50 and over with customers seeking their services. K50Plus is solely a listings channel and is not a party to any agreement entered into between service providers and customers. Transactions, payments, and the performance of services are arranged and carried out directly between the parties.

2. Definitions

"Service" refers to the K50Plus website, mobile applications, and related features. "User" means any person who creates an account on the Service. "Service Provider" means a User who publishes listings offering services through the Service. "Customer" means a User who contacts a Service Provider through the Service. "Listing" means a service offering published by a Service Provider. "Content" means any text, images, ratings, reviews, or other materials submitted by Users to the Service.

3. User account and eligibility

To use the Service, you must be a natural person who is at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into binding contracts. You must register an account with accurate and complete information and keep that information up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. Each natural person may hold only one account.

4. Service Provider obligations

Service Providers warrant that all Listings are accurate, lawful, and represent services they are qualified and entitled to perform. Service Providers are independent operators and are solely responsible for obtaining any permits, licenses, insurance, and authorisations required by applicable law, and for declaring and paying any taxes and social-security contributions arising from their activity. K50Plus does not employ Service Providers and does not supervise or guarantee the quality of their services.

5. Customer obligations

Customers undertake to provide accurate information when contacting Service Providers, to communicate respectfully, and to honour any agreements they enter into. Payment for services and the resolution of any disputes regarding service quality, scheduling, or delivery are matters between the Customer and the Service Provider. K50Plus does not collect payments on behalf of Service Providers and does not mediate disputes.

6. Prohibited content and conduct

Users must not use the Service in any manner that is unlawful, harmful, or contrary to these Terms. The following are expressly prohibited:

• Listings offering services that are illegal under Finnish or applicable European Union law.
• False, misleading, or fraudulent information about yourself, your qualifications, or the services offered.
• Harassment, threats, hate speech, or content that infringes the dignity or rights of any person.
• Infringement of third-party intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
• Unsolicited commercial communications, spam, or off-platform solicitation that bypasses the Service.
• Automated access, scraping, harvesting, or systematic copying of Content from the Service.
• Attempts to bypass security measures, access other Users' accounts, or interfere with the operation of the Service.
• Use of the Service to facilitate any other unlawful, deceptive, or harmful activity.

7. Moderation and enforcement

K50Plus reserves the right to review, edit, refuse, or remove any Content, and to suspend or terminate any account, with or without prior notice, where it has reasonable grounds to believe that these Terms or applicable law have been violated. Where possible, K50Plus will provide the affected User with notice and an opportunity to respond, except where doing so would be unlawful, technically impractical, or detrimental to the integrity of the Service.

8. Intellectual property and content licence

K50Plus and all software, branding, and original content provided by us remain the property of Connexa Oy and its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. By submitting Content to the Service, you grant K50Plus a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, and sub-licensable licence to host, display, reproduce, adapt, and distribute that Content for the purposes of operating, promoting, and improving the Service. You retain ownership of your Content and may delete it at any time, subject to any backups or copies retained for legitimate operational or legal reasons.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, K50Plus disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of Listings, or uninterrupted availability. K50Plus does not warrant the qualifications, conduct, or performance of any Service Provider or the truth of any Content submitted by Users.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, K50Plus is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with the use of the Service or any services performed by Service Providers contacted through the Service. K50Plus' total aggregate liability to any User for any direct damages will not exceed the fees, if any, paid by that User to K50Plus during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including liability for personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.

11. Personal data

K50Plus processes personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy, available at /privacy. The Privacy Policy forms an integral part of these Terms.

12. Changes to these Terms and termination

K50Plus may amend these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified to registered Users by email and announced on the Service at least thirty (30) days before they take effect, except where a shorter period is required by law. Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Users may close their account at any time from their account settings. K50Plus may terminate or suspend access to the Service for serious or repeated breaches of these Terms, in accordance with section 7.

13. Governing law, disputes, and contact

These Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising in connection with them are governed by the laws of Finland, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Consumers may also rely on the mandatory consumer-protection provisions of their country of residence. Disputes will be resolved by the District Court of Helsinki (Helsingin käräjäoikeus) or, if you are a consumer, by the court of your place of domicile. Consumers may additionally refer disputes to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (Kuluttajariitalautakunta) or the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
